A bit about me.
My names Abby, I am a fully qualified award winning Painter and Decorator from Plymouth.
I completed a 3 year long NVQ level 3 in a painting and decorating apprenticeship.
During this time I competed in multiple competitions, in which I placed in the top 8 in the country to compete for the UK Skill build National Finals in 2024 which I won !
This then lead me to World Skills in which I was apart of Team UK with the chance of competing on a global scale in shanghai 2026.
Along side this during my time as an apprentice I was selected for the Ron Simmonds Trade Construction Apprentice of the year award, which I got a highly commended award for.
During my time at college I was put up for multiple awards in which i won:
- Construction Trade Student of the Year
- Employability award
- Intermediate Construction Apprentice of the Year.
One of my College Tutors put me in for the West Country Woman's Award,
this lead me through multiple stages where I became a Semi finalist.
After all of this, I had built up experience and knowledge with multiple well established decorating companies, to then take the jump and become fully Self Employed
